About Maplex Services: who we are, and who does the work in Tampa, FL.

Every remodeling page you read today will tell you the company is trusted. It will not tell you who shows up at 7 a.m. This page does. It says who answers the phone and who does each part of the job. It says where the license behind each part comes from. And it says when we are not the right company for you.

One company defines the scope, sets a closed price and coordinates the licensed trades. That is the whole company, in one sentence.

The short version.

Maplex Services LLC is a remodeling company in Tampa, FL. The company was formed in 2026. Before that name, the people behind it spent years on other people's jobs. They saw the same problem on every one. The homeowner was chasing five contractors, five prices, and five versions of what was included.

Maplex was opened to fix that. One person walks your job. The same person writes the scope and answers the phone. That person stays on the job until you sign off at the end.

We take on ten services. Bathrooms, kitchens, flooring, painting, driveways, exterior and front of house, home remodeling, cabinets, garage conversions and home additions. Every one is priced the same way: by written scope, never by the hour.

We speak English and Spanish. Pick one and we keep it for the whole job.

In four lines

  • Formed in 2026, based in Tampa, FL. A service area business, no shop.
  • One person walks the job, writes the scope and answers the phone.
  • Each part of the work is done by a trade licensed and insured for it.
  • The trades we coordinate have more than 8 years in their work.

Who does the work, part by part.

Most companies say "our team". Here is what that means on a real job. Each part is done by the trade that is licensed and insured for it. Your written scope names the trade next to each line. So you know who is in your house before anyone is.

01

The person you call

One person. He walks the space, writes the scope, sets the price, and picks up the phone. If something changes, you call him. Not a call center, not a project manager you have never met.

02

The demo and prep crew

They open the walls, take out what leaves, and haul it away. This is where a house tells us what it has been hiding. What they find goes in writing before the next trade starts.

03

The licensed plumbing trade

Every valve, drain and pipe. Always the licensed trade, never us. When the job needs a permit, the plumber pulls it under his own license number. That number is on the paperwork.

04

The licensed electrical trade

Outlets, lights, fans and panels. Same rule. The licensed trade does the work and pulls its own permit. Its license number is on the paperwork, not ours.

05

Tile, paint and finish crews

The part you see. Waterproofing, tile, cabinets, doors, trim and paint. Each crew has more than 8 years in its trade. That is where the 8 years on this site come from: the people, not the company name.

06

How to check a license

Ask for the license number of any trade on your scope. Look it up on the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation site. It takes one minute. We would rather you check than trust.

What that means for you.

One company owns the whole job. The trades do their part. You get one document and one number. Here is how that shows up day to day.

01

One number, one document

You get one written scope and one closed price. Not five quotes to line up on the kitchen table. The scope says what is in, what is not, and who does it.

02

Changes in writing, before they happen

If you change the plan, the change is priced in writing first. Nobody "just does it" and bills you later. You approve it, or it does not happen.

03

Payments tied to stages

30% at signing. 40% when the rough work is done and inspected. 25% when the finishes are in. 5% at the final walkthrough. You can see each stage before you pay for it.

04

You sign off at the end

We walk the space together. The job is not done until you say it is. Then the workmanship warranty starts, in writing, with your scope.

What we do not do.

A company is defined by what it turns down. These are the things we do not do, and what we do instead. They are the same on every job.

A clipboard, a pencil, a tape measure and hand tools laid out on a wooden bench
We do not
·Quote by the hour. An hourly job has no end date and no closed price.
·Say a number at the door. A number said out loud is a guess.
·Take the whole payment up front. Not for any job, not at any price.
·Do plumbing or electrical ourselves. Those are licensed trades.
·Install acrylic tub liners. They trap water behind the shell.
·Build a second story on an addition.
What we do instead
·A walkthrough first, then a written scope with a date on it.
·One closed price, in writing, that moves only if the scope does.
·Four payment stages you can walk into and inspect.
·The licensed trade for that part, named on your scope, with its own permit.
·Reglaze the tub when the shell is sound, or replace it when it is not.
·Build out, on the ground, and tell you why.

When we are not the right company

We would rather say this here than after the walkthrough. Four cases where another company will serve you better.

You need a number today

We do not say a price before the walkthrough. A number said on the phone is a guess, and guesses move. If you need a figure this afternoon, another company will give you one. Ask them what it includes.

You want to skip the permit

If the job needs one, the licensed trade pulls it. We do not do the job without it. A house sold later with work that was never permitted is the seller's problem. We do not hand you that problem.

You want to pay it all up front

We do not take the whole payment before the work. Payments follow stages you can see. That protects you, and it keeps us honest. A company that wants it all today is asking you to carry the risk.

You want a showroom and a designer on staff

We are not a design build firm. There is no showroom. If you want to pick tile in a showroom with a designer, that is a fine way to buy. It is not the way we work. We scope, we price, and we coordinate the trades.

Questions people ask us

Are you licensed and insured?

We define the scope, set a closed price, and coordinate the licensed trades. Each part of your job is done by a trade licensed and insured for that trade. Plumbing and electrical are always done by the licensed trade, never by us. When a job needs a permit, that trade pulls it under its own license number. You can look that number up with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. Maplex Services LLC is insured.

How long has Maplex Services been in business?

Maplex Services LLC was formed in 2026. That is a short time, and we would rather say it than hide it. The people who do the work are not new. Each trade we coordinate has more than 8 years in its work. What is new is the way the job is run: one written scope, one closed price, one person to call.

Who will be in my house?

The person who walked the job, and the trade doing that day's part. You meet each trade before it starts. Nobody you have not met works inside your house. If a face changes, you hear it from us first.

Do you speak Spanish?

Yes. We answer the phone in English and Spanish. The walkthrough, the written scope and every call after it can be in either language. Pick the one you want and we keep it that way for the whole job.

Do you work outside Tampa?

Yes. We work in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Manatee and Sarasota counties. Tampa has its own page, and more cities are on the way. If your town is not on the list at the bottom of this page, call and ask. The answer is often yes.

What happens after I send the form?

A person reads it, not a machine. We call or text during business hours to set a time for the walkthrough. After the walkthrough you get the written scope and the closed price. No number is said before that.
